Equality Day

Featured

Join us for Equality Day on April 19, to tell legislators simply Show-Me Equality!

WHERE: Missouri State Capitol: 201 West Capitol Avenue, Jefferson City, MO 65101

WHEN: April 19, registration starts at 9am and the rally begins at 10:15am in the rotunda

WHO SHOULD REGISTER:

  • LGBT advocates and allies
  • Parents, siblings, family members of LGBT Missourians
  • LGBT Missourians
  • YOU.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Please join us this year, as we want you to stand alongside your fellow activists to tell the Missouri Legislature, "Show-Me Equality!"

Currently, there have been 6 anti-LGBT bills filed and several more we are monitoring closely. This year at Equality Day, help us make a stand against this harmful legislation and continue to stand in support of the Missouri Nondiscrimination Act. You will connect with a network of advocates and supporters of LGBT equality in Missouri while gaining the tools necessary to effectively lobby your representatives in Missouri.

Join dozens of others who will walk the halls of the Missouri Capitol to share their personal stories and encourage legislators to support LGBT equality in Missouri. Now is the time for legislators to hear YOUR VOICE.

The registration fee for Equality Day is $5 per person.

* If you would like to carpool as a driver or passenger, please indicate below, and we will follow-up with further information. Plan to arrive around at the capitol at 10am, and we will wrap up at approximately 3pm. Snacks will be provided. A limited number of scholarships are available. For more information, please contact equalityday@PROMOonline.org or 314-862-4900.

***You can find the agenda for the day here.

Sign up below today to make history in the Show-Me State. See you in Jefferson City!
