While the eyes of the world continue to be on Georgia in the aftermath of yesterday’s dual run-off elections for U.S. Senate, where it appears Democrats Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff will prevail in tight races, closer to home marks the beginning of Missouri’s legislative session.

Get to know your elected officials
The Missouri legislative session starts today, and we need our legislators in Jefferson City to prioritize the rights of LGBTQ Missourians in 2021. With COVID-19 creating continued uncertainty for the session, we’re encouraging you to connect with your legislators on Twitter, Facebook, or subscribe to their newsletter or email list. You can find your representative or senator here.

PROMO tracks a list of equality-related bills available to you here. You can subscribe to our list directly, or you can access it on our Legislative Session page. PROMO is proud to partner with Fast Democracy in order to share a more effective way for you to remain engaged each legislative session. We will be sending out weekly and timely email updates throughout this session. To update your contact information, click here.

As always, our Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter will stay current with news and ways to take action throughout the legislative session.

What happened in Georgia can happen here in Missouri – but it’s going to take each and every one of us. Our representatives and senators are accountable to us as Missourians – and it’s important that they hear from us throughout the year. The power of Stacey Abrams and groups on the ground like Fair Fight, Georgia Stand Up, The New Georgia Project, Georgia Equality, and many others show that a commitment to reaching people in all corners of their state can change the face of politics.

If you want to support our efforts in Jefferson City and beyond, chip in $21 to support our goal of LGBTQ equality here in the Show Me State.
