Today Attorney General Chris Koster released the following statement that he will NOT appeal the decision. In the conclusion he states, “Missouri’s future will be one of inclusion not exclusion.”
Couples now married legally outside of Missouri will continue to be fully recognized in Missouri. On a decision made by Jackson County Judge Dale Youngs Friday, he stated that Missouri must recognize the marriages of same-sex couples that were granted elsewhere.
Thanks to over 2,000 people in helping get the word out for Attorney General Chris Koster NOT to appeal the marriage decision from Friday—it worked. Congratulations Missouri, we are one step further towards marriage for ALL Missourians.
